Talk-y-Cardia (Debate)

Day 3

Eligibility:

Teams of 2.

Cross college teams are allowed.

Non medicos are also allowed.

Topic for prelims will be announced 3 days prior to the event.

Both prelims and finals will be held on the same day..

Prelims:

- One team member would be speaking FOR and the Other would be speaking AGAINST the topic for one minute (tentative).

- The top 4 teams will progress to Semi-Finals.

Semi-Finals:

- Will be parliamentary type of debate.

ROUND 1 – constructive speeches (2.5 mins each)

ROUND 2 – rebuttal (30 seconds each)

ROUND 3 – re-rebuttal (30 seconds – team captain alone)

Team A (for) and Team B (against).

Topics will be given on spot and 30 mins preparation time will be given

2 teams will be selected for finals

Finals:

Topics will be given ON SPOT and 30 mins preparation time

Same rules as Semi Finals.
